Get excited! Good things are on the horizon!
Learning to play the piano is a valuable life skill and lesson that can be applied to all areas of life. Yeah, maybe you can show off your skill to your friends, but the benefits are SO MUCH MORE than that! Learning a new skill and practicing a creative pursuit has major mental health benefits as well as supporting healthy brain function! Trust us, you'll get a lot more out of piano lessons then the ability to play chopsticks.
Creative pursuits support a healthy mind! Making music is relaxing, stress relieving and therapeutic!
Challenging your brain with the task of learning a new skill is great for your brain development and function!
Practicing until you get it right is such an important skill for a student to learn! Preparing for recitals and exams helps teach students how to persevere!
Practicing and performing in a recital are a great way to give children the confidence they need to face challenging tasks in life.
Be careful not to fall into the trap of "too busy". You need to intentionally carve out time in the day for you or your child to come to lessons and to practice at home!
As a parent, you may feel like you're solely responsible for their success. But we believe that the teacher, the student and the parent all play a vital role!
The key to success is found in our ear training program. Most students are weakest at ear training which is why we focus on helping students HEAR the music beyond the page.
